METAIRIE, La. (WGNO) — CrimeStoppers of Greater New Orleans is now offering a $2,500 reward for tips in a fatal hit-and-run investigation in St. Bernard Parish. The case is the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice.
According to the Louisiana State Police, the crime happened around 3:15 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 11. They say 26-year-old Kyle St. Angelo was riding his motorcycle on Hwy. 46 near Riverbend Drive when an oncoming pickup truck turned in front of him. St. Angelo's motorcycle collided with the passenger side of the truck, and St. Angelo died from his injuries at the scene.
The truck is described as a Ram, possibly white, with damage on the passenger side due to the impact with the motorcycle. Troopers released some camera images that they say show the truck. They also say the driver did not stop at the scene or call police later to report the crash.
