NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — New Orleans police are trying to solve a pair of burglaries that were just blocks apart, but one of them ended with the victim being shot. The cases are the latest ones to roll on the Wheel of Justice.
According to police, the first burglary happened at 8:40 in the morning on December 10 in the 7800 block of Lady Gray Street. Police say once the burglar left that location, he committed a second burglary around the corner in the 770 block of Lacombe Street. But during the second burglary, the victim was shot in the leg when he confronted the suspect.
Police released some security camera images of the man who they believe is responsible for the crimes. He was wearing a hoodie and shorts with a geometric patter on them.
Police say the man who was shot was listed in stable condition in the hospital.
