CHALMETTE, LA (WGNO) -- Brannon LeBouef served more than a decade in the Marine Corps. Now, he's a security consultant and owns the St. Bernard Indoor Shooting Center in Chalmette.
LeBouef spends plenty of time on the road for business. He says too often, he sees American flags that are faded and torn. That's when his patriotism goes to the next level.
"How many people have given their life for that flag? Just having it up means something," he told WGNO News.
LeBouef keeps a stack of new American flags in his SUV. When he's on the road for business or just making the rounds in NOLA, he stops whenever he sees a flag that needs to be replaced and swaps it for a new one for free. He also helps the owner properly retire the old flag.
He's also a stickler for proper presentation of the flag, and he has a suggestion for anyone who is buying a new one. Click on the video button above to get the info!
We found plenty of people who were properly flying the flag for the Fourth of July holiday. Here are a few of them!
